Homeschooling Laws
Click here for the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) site. I do notendorse this organization. It is a conservative Christian organization that opposes marriage equality. However, they do an excellent job of breaking down homeschooling laws by state.
Nonviolent Communication emphasizes compassion as the motivation for action rather than fear, guilt, shame, blame, coercion, threat or justification for punishment. NVC is NOT about getting people to do what we want. It is about creating a quality of connection that gets everyone’s needs met through compassionate giving.

I’m Voting Republican (Not)
I got this video link in an email, and couldn't resist it.
There are some more videos along the same lines at the same location, if you follow the link - some better than others. However, I'm not sure that national politics is very relevant to real life anymore. I guess the last 28 years have made me cynical. Maybe Obama will spark a movement that will turn the federal government around and make it relevant again. Or maybe not. Stay tuned.
